Veterinary Bandage
The advanced technology allows the bandage to stretch and conform to virtually any anatomical shape with or without padding ( combine roll, cast padding, gauze, etc.). It “breathes” to allow air flow to improve wound healing and reduce moisture accumulation. ReWrap bandages are washable and reusable unlike other Veterinary wraps making them more economical to use. The product can also be impregnated with antimicrobial agents to aid in the control of wound infections.
ReWrap is especially good in situations that
require frequent bandage changes because, in addition to it’s washability and
ReWrap is currently available in standard widths of 4inch and standard lengths of 5 and 10 feet. Additional widths (2 inches and 6 inches) and lengths will soon be available as well as additional colors, i.e. blue and green. Extra fasteners can be included allowing the bandage to be cut to the needed length without waste.
The manufacturer is also currently working with Veterinarians to develop additional applications specific to animal uses such as abdominal and thoracic wraps for post-op support for both companion animals and horses. The manufacturer’s considerable experience working with human splints and braces using this as well as other innovative technology will in time result in the development of similar devices for Veterinary use.
